Sea Kayak Touring and Multi-day expeditions are a great way to explore hidden coastlines, practise sea kayak skills, build endurance, enjoy wild camping and exploring new places. Living in the British Isles there are numerous fantastic opportunities for expeditions, anything from an overnight trip to longer multi-day adventures as well as many more places within Europe and further afield. There are many companies who offered guided expeditions such as Sea Kayak Cornwall, SKUK, Glenmore Lodge, Plas y brenin and many others. Once you build your own skills, you can link up with friends and club mates and create your own journeys and adventures. One of our coaches Dave A recently went on a 14 day expedition to Kefalonia and Ionian Islands with Sea Kayak Cornwall, you can see his brief report below
Brilliant weather set us up for a perfect 312 km trip around this beautiful chain of islands. A mix of wild camping and visiting many small towns along the way with the opportunity to restock provisions and relax on the many beaches. Lots of opportunities for swimming and getting lots of miles in kayaking. What’s not to like paddling in shorts and t shirts, beach camping and stunning coastlines. Great team and plenty laughs along the way. Devotion to the ocean and soul paddling in the Ionian seas.
