Border Kayak and Canoe Club has a specific officer appointed whose role is to handle any matters around the safeguarding, rights and protection of children and adults at risk (previously referred to as “vulnerable adults”). If you wish to contact our Safeguarding Officer, please use this email address: bkcc.safeguarding@gmail.com Club policy is that only the Safeguarding Officer will read email sent to that mailbox.
If for any reason you don’t consider the Safeguarding Officer to be a suitable contact, you can reach the club secretary at the link at the bottom of the page.
Additionally, this card provides the National Contact details for Safeguarding matters:

For clarity concerning the safeguarding duties of the club and members here is a link to the guidance notes on the PVG Scheme: PVG+scheme+-+Regulated+roles+guidance (1) from the Vulnerable Groups Act (Scotland) 2007′.
